Its 1:30, my phone startles me...its time!! Allie is one her way! I met Liz and Chris at a wedding this summer. When I found out htat Chris would be deployed during Allies birth the only "right thing" to do was to offer to photograph it for them! So off to the hospital, in the dark I went. I arrived and Liz was in pain! Her epidural was NOT working...this was not what I was hoping for! But an hour later the anesthesiologist replaced the catheter, and that resolved her pain, and the rest was smooth sailing! At 4:15 the nurses made their way into the room, it was go time! Should we can daddy now? Could mommy do this quickly?? She gave a
"practice push..." yep...call daddy!! call Dr. Picolo too!! and we wait...for Dr. P... Just as he makes his entrance Liz gets ready to push, we all hear Chris cheering for her from her iPhone...the tears are flowing! Allie is out in just a few pushes! She is crying and so is everyone else! Daddy gets to hear his daughters first cry, as mommy cuts her cord. Allie Maree Mann weighs in at 7 lbs 12.5 oz! welcome Sweet Baby Girl!!
